Immunity

Until the last couple years, immunity against sickness was not a very popular topic in the public eye. It wasn’t until Covid that most people really didn’t think about how important immunity really was. Additionally, popular social media platforms and large media conglomerates were not allowing even Virologists, pathogenic scientists, Medical Doctors and immunity experts to weigh in about alternative treatments or obtain natural immunity to the virus. Even multiple testimonies from leading experts in front of Congress didn’t help government agencies to accept a non-vaccine treatment. Fortunately it didn’t take long for the news to spread quietly in the medical community that Doctors can actually help people with Covid to recover and avoid long term health repercussions.

Ivermectin Covid Therapy

So while the novel coronavirus was spreading around the world at an alarming rate, Ivermectin became one of the leading front runner medications although not widely accepted as an effective treatment. Much like the vaccines that came out fairly quickly, there was not enough time to run randomized controlled trials to determine if Ivermectin was really helpful in stopping the virus. Before countries like Israel ran tests on its effectiveness, a handful of Doctors in many countries were testing Ivermectin since it has been a very safe and low cost medication for parasites. Ivermectin also had a very long track record of Billions of pills prescribed over decades with little or no serious side effects. But, like Tylenol or Tums, too much could possibly be harmful. Nevertheless, it didn’t take long for the anecdotal and observational evidence to pour in that Ivermectin was actually helping people to overcome the virus. If you were lucky to hear real testimonials from Doctors, Scientists and experts who were treating people with covid, you likely heard that Ivermectin was a key medication to stopping the spread of the virus and saving lives. Hundreds of Doctors in the United States spoke out in favor of Ivermectin, each with a long list of successful stories of patients that were not improving until they were prescribed Ivermectin.

What is Ivermectin?

Ivermectin is part of a family of natural products called avermectins. Avermetcins are derived from a soil bacterium called Streptomyces Avermitilis. This is found in soil all over the world and has been used for centuries to control parasitic infections in animals.

It was originally developed in the 1970s and was approved for use in humans in 1987. However, in recent years, it has shown promise as a treatment for a variety of human diseases. Ivermectin is most commonly used as an antiparasitic drug, and it has been used to treat river blindness, scabies, head lice, strongyloides stercoralis, onchocerciasis, and helminthiasis. The drug works by killing the parasites that cause these diseases and has been used to treat millions of people around the world.

Ivermectin for Animals

Ivermectin has first been used to treat a variety of parasitic infections in animals. It is effective against a wide range of parasites, including those that cause heartworm disease, ear mites, and mange. The drug is also effective against parasites including those that cause river blindness, strongyloidiasis (threadworm infection), and scabies. Ivermectin can even be used to control fleas and ticks. Ivermectin is most commonly used to treat dogs and cats, but it is also used to treat parasitic infections in horses, sheep, and cattle. Ivermectin is available as a topical cream, oral suspension, or injectable solution.

Ivermectin for Humans

Ivermectin wasn’t used to treat humans until 1987, when it was approved by the FDA to treat onchocerciasis. Onchocerciasis (river blindness) is a tropical disease caused by a parasitic worm that is transmitted through black fly bites. The disease can cause severe itching, skin lesions, and blindness. Ivermectin has since been used to treat additional of parasitic infections in humans. Ivermectin is most commonly used to treat parasitic infections in tropical countries. These parasitic infections include strongyloidiasis, ascariasis (roundworm infection), and enterobiasis (pinworm infection). Ivermectin is also effective against scabies. In addition, ivermectin has even been shown to be effective in the treatment of lice.

Ivermectin for Covid

Not only is ivermectin effective against a variety of parasitic infections, but it has also shown promise as a treatment for Covid-19. Ivermectin is thought to work against Covid-19 by interfering with the virus’s ability to replicate. When the virus tries to replicate, it binds to proteins. Ivermectin also works by binding to certain proteins in the body. With the presence of Ivermectin in the system, the binding site is blocked, and the virus cannot replicate.

In addition, ivermectin may help to reduce the severity of symptoms by reducing inflammation and improve outcomes in patients.

How is Ivermectin Used?

Ivermectin is most commonly used as an oral medication, but it can also be given intravenously. At Vitality Med Spa, we only administer it orally, as it has been shown to be more effective for the Covid 19 virus. Ivermectin can help to prevent the virus from spreading and make the symptoms less severe.

The dosage and frequency of ivermectin use will depend on the condition being treated. For example, ivermectin is usually taken once a week to treat river blindness, while it is taken every three days to treat strongyloidiasis. The standard dose of ivermectin for covid therapy is 200 micrograms per kilogram of body weight. This means that a person who weighs 80 kilograms would need 16 milligrams of ivermectin. If you are wanting ivermectin for covid, it can only be prescribed by a doctor. It is never recommended to test any form of Ivermectin that is intended for animals.

Is Ivermectin Safe?

Ivermectin is a very safe drug, and there have been no reports of serious side effects. The drug is well-tolerated and has a very low toxicity profile. It has been used to treat millions of people around the world and has been shown to be effective in laboratory studies. It is important to note that Ivermectin should not be used as a preventative measure, but rather as a treatment for those who have already contracted the virus.

The media has been a little problematic in passing accurate information about the safety of Ivermectin. Articles would use the word “dangerous” and “harmful” while discussing Ivermectin which is unfortunately very misleading. Due to its low risk level, it has been nothing but a very safe medication for billions. Perhaps Ivermectin haters attempted to scare people by trying to overlap animal Ivermectin side effects with humans. Regardless of what we have read over the last couple years, we should always consult our Doctor and not rely on the media for accurate healthcare advice.

Non-medical expert opinions have stated that Ivermectin is “harmful”, but yet they have not been consistent. They used “possible” side effects of high doses and for long periods of time. But this is not consistent with experts that have actually treated Covid. Most Doctors only prescribe Ivermectin for a very short term and not in the high doses that have been stated by critics. But, like other drugs, there could be side effects. The most common side effects include nausea, diarrhea, and headaches. Ivermectin is contraindicated in pregnant women and children younger than five years of age, so if you are pregnant or have young children, please contact your Doctor.
